This Privacy Policy explains how Esraniki processes personal data when you use the Esraniki Discord application, web dashboard, and related services.
Esraniki is a free and open-source project operated by Rezelyn, an individual developer.

3. What information Esraniki processes
The information Esraniki processes depends on how you use the service.
Discord account information
- When you interact with Esraniki in a Discord server, Esraniki may process:
- Your Discord user ID
- Your Discord username
- Your Discord avatar
- The Discord server(s) you're in, in which Esraniki is being used
- Informations about your activity that is necessary for Esraniki's features...
Discord user IDs are used to associate activity with the appropriate Discord account.
Activity statistics
- When Esraniki is installed in a Discord server, it may process information about your activity in that server, including:
- The number of messages you send
- The type of messages you send, such as text, image, or video
- The amount of time you spend in voice channels
- Other activity statistics required for Esraniki's features...
Esraniki does not retain the content of your messages for these statistics.
Message content may nevertheless be temporarily processed in memory when necessary for Esraniki to determine message characteristics or operate a feature. Message content is not intentionally stored in Esraniki's persistent data storage.
Dashboard login information
The Esraniki web dashboard uses Discord OAuth2 for authentication.
- When you log in, Esraniki may receive:
- Your Discord user ID
- Your Discord username
- Your Discord avatar
- Information about Discord servers where you have the necessary permissions and where Esraniki is installed...
This information is used to authenticate you and show you the servers that you are authorized to configure.
A temporary dashboard session token is kept in server memory for up to 24 hours. It is not written to persistent storage.
The Discord OAuth access token used during authentication is used only to complete the login process and is not retained after the authentication exchange.
Server configuration
- Server administrators can configure Esraniki features, including:
- Server rules embeds
- Twitch channel tracking
- Minecraft server tracking
- Server listing selections
- Channel and feature configuration
- Other settings provided through the dashboard...
This configuration is associated with the relevant Discord server and is stored in Esraniki's server-side storage. Some configuration may contain information that identifies a server, channel, Twitch account name, Minecraft server IP adress, or other third party.
4. What Esraniki doesn't collect
Esraniki does not intentionally store the content of Discord messages for its statistics features.
Esraniki does not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics services.
Esraniki does not sell personal data.
The dashboard does not use traditional authentication cookies. Dashboard session information is stored using browser storage and a temporary server-side session.
Please note that Discord and other third-party services may use their own cookies, tracking technologies, or other forms of data processing when you interact with their services. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. How and why information is used
Esraniki processes information only where necessary for the operation, security, and improvement of the service.
- Depending on the feature involved, information may be used to:
- Provide message and voice activity statistics
- Generate leaderboards and per-user statistics
- Operate Esraniki's social and interactive features
- Authenticate users of the web dashboard
- Display servers that a user is authorized to configure
- Store and apply server configuration
- Provide Twitch live-status notifications
- Provide Minecraft server-status information
- Maintain and secure the service
- Investigate abuse, security issues, or technical problems
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, each processing activity is based on an applicable legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR.
Providing and operating Esraniki
Processing that is necessary to provide Esraniki's features and the hosted service is generally based on the performance of a contract or on steps taken at the user's request prior to providing the service, where applicable.
Service security and abuse prevention
Processing necessary to protect Esraniki, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, and maintain the reliability of the service may be based on legitimate interests. These interests are balanced against the rights and freedoms of the people whose data is processed.
Legal obligations
Where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, it is based on compliance with a legal obligation.
Other processing
If Esraniki introduces a processing activity that requires consent or another legal basis, the appropriate legal basis will be obtained or otherwise established before that processing begins.
8. International data transfers
Some third-party providers used by Esraniki may process information outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer will be carried out using an appropriate legal mechanism under applicable data-protection law, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards where required. Because Esraniki relies on third-party services, the location of processing may change if a provider or infrastructure is changed.
9. Data retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
- Activity statistics:
- While Esraniki remains installed in the relevant Discord server, unless deleted earlier.
- Server configuration:
- Retained while necessary to provide the configured Esraniki features and generally while Esraniki remains installed in the relevant server.
- Dashboard session data:
- Retained for up to 24 hours.
- Discord OAuth access tokens:
- Not retained after the authentication exchange.
- Deletion requests:
- Information necessary to process a deletion request may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to document and comply with that request.
- Security or legal records:
- May be retained for as long as necessary to investigate an incident, protect the service, establish or defend legal claims, or comply with a legal obligation.
I may change technical retention periods as the service develops, but personal data will not be retained longer than necessary for its stated purpose.
10. Data deletion
Removing Esraniki from a Discord server does not currently automatically delete all previously stored server data.
Server administrators may delete certain data through the dashboard where the relevant functionality is available.

Deletion is subject to any legal or technical reasons that require certain information to be retained.
Where a request is valid under applicable data-protection law, it will be handled in accordance with that law.
11. Your rights
- Where the GDPR or other applicable data-protection law applies, you may have the right to:
- Obtain access to your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Request restriction of processing
- Object to certain processing
- Request portability of certain personal data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to the conditions and exceptions provided by applicable law.

I may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request in order to prevent unauthorized access to personal data.
Requests will be handled within the time limits required by applicable law.
12. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. If you are located in France, the relevant supervisory authority is the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL). You may also contact the supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live, work, or where you believe the alleged infringement occurred, where applicable.
13. Children's privacy
Esraniki is not directed at children below the minimum age required to use Discord in their region. Esraniki does not knowingly seek to collect personal data from users who are below the applicable minimum age. Because Esraniki operates through Discord, Discord's own age requirements also apply. 13. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. However, no system or method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal-data breach occurs that requires notification under applicable law, I will take the required steps to address the incident and notify affected individuals or authorities where required.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Esraniki, its data processing, third-party services, or applicable legal requirements. The current version will always be published on this page with its latest update date. If a change materially affects how personal data is processed, reasonable efforts will be made to provide appropriate notice where required by applicable law.
